Computer Lab
Our third grade students visit the computer lab three times a week and are currently working on a variety of topics.  Some areas that we reinforce using technology tools include: math facts, keyboarding skills, energy, Jamestown, division and verbs.  

Our fourth grade students also visit the computer lab three times a week and are currently working on several topics.  Some of the topics fourth grade is working on include: applying keyboarding skills, researching for reports, typing stories, typing spelling words, typing poems and adjectives and adverbs.

Learning Center
There are a lot of exciting things going on in the Learning Center this month. We have just received our first order of eBooks that are accessible through our Library Catalog. The catalog can be searched either at school or from home through Bush’s webpage. To access an eBook, visit our catalog, type in ebook in the search box, click on keyword and choose a book from the results. Next, click on the title of the book you want to read and then click on Read Online. It’s as simple as that.

Our third graders will be doing a Fantasy Fiction unit this month during their Learning Center classes, with a special emphasis on the author Bruce Coville. Fourth graders will be learning about the Middle Ages through Newbery Medal winning author Laura Amy Schlitz.

Music and Art
The month of April is Medievil Month for fourth graders. Durnig art class, they will be making items for the Medievil Bazaar. these items include enamel box prints, book buddies, jester hats, head garlands, jewelry, and cards. They will also be making a family crest. Third graders just finished their Lichtenstein Cartoon Character and are starting on their Geometric designs. third graders will also be making crayon resists this month.

In music class during the month of April, fourth graders will be learning about medievil music and dance, including how to do the Gavotte. They will also be learning how to do medievil games like Kings in the Corner. Third graders will be working on their concert songs throughout the month of April. Their concert is May 10th and is all about "Feeling Good" songs

Physical Education
We are tumbling and learning yoga as a warm up for tumbling. The first week of April we will be building human pyramids which students love. At the end of the week we will be climbing the rope and climbing wall and also do some bowling.  During the month of April the 4th grade will be doing a Medieval Times unit. Students will receive Farthings for good behavior and will be able to buy neat stuff from the Medieval Market on Friday, April 29.
